Finally...

Whilst still in ImageReady chose File> Save optimized. This automatically saves your animation as a .gif image ready to upload and loop on the net to its heart's content. Remember to save your original .psd file whether you are back in Photoshop making amends or in ImageReady after finalizing your loop – they are still interchangeable.

Now it is up to you to go forth, experiment and create some moving images of your own!
